About Bristol DJ
Bristol DJ is a mobile DJ service that cover the span of generations from 60s to modern chart music. During this time, musical styles have changed significantly and requests are often made to cater for the very young to the very old. Generally, the elders enjoy a trip down memory lane with 50s rock and roll to 70s rock. Everyone loves the 80s and it’s often surprising how many of the youth love it too. 80s and ‘cheese’ is a favourite at hen parties and mid-age parties. We provide the full range of music, tailored to your taste.
If you’re musical taste is more upfront and specialised for urban styles such as RnB, disco, hip hop, reggae, afrobeat, house & garage, then we provide this service under our alternative brand, Urban Central Sounds.
Our service is family friendly and we are available to entertain at your Birthdays, Weddings, Club and Large Corporate and Social and Outdoor Events. We will work with you well before your event date to understand your preferences to plan the right music for your celebration.

Mel and Carmen are lovely and were keen to play the type of music that my son is interested in - a real mixture! They are very professional and met us for a site visit to the venue (a barn!) a few days before the event. Mel turned up on time, set himself up efficiently and played all night and was the last to leave - he even had to turn the lights off! Sound quality and light show was perfect for the venue. A lovely guy and would recommend.
Superb DJ for MultiGenerational Party
Mel is a great DJ! The selection of music was fab, and the dance floor was full all night. Mel graciously accepted our long list of songs in advance and worked these into a great dance set while including some others as well. We had a lot of compliments on the music. Mel and Carmen were a joy to work with. They are professional and reliable and most importantly the music was FAB!
Brill night!
What a brill night my 19th was with Urban Central sounds aka Mel :) he was so polite and made everyone feel welcome to get up and dance! A good choice of mixed music for different ages, fantastic lights that lit up the room made it feel proper :) I will be using these again for future events, brill night for a very good cost!! Never had any problems and mad everyone feel welcome, amazing night and the DJ MADE IT BETTER!!!!
Fantastic addition to any event
Urban Central Sounds go the extra mile by keeping all correspondence personal, making it feel like you and your event are important to them. They listened to which style of music was required and provided that, along with some classics everyone loves! The party atmosphere was great and Mel and Carmen provided the right level of songs, shout outs, requests etc to help keep the party going. Thank you so much, would definitely recommend and would use again.
