About IB The Chippy
Hi and welcome to IB The Chippy, I have been in the catering trade for over 25 years working in hotels, restaurants, pubs.
The year of 2014 I build my fish and chip van which I try my best in serving local and fresh produce.
In 2018 I opened up a fish and chip shop in North Elmham where I welcome you to come have a taste test and meet me, I can also answer any questions you may have.
In 2019 I bought a brand new high specification chip van,
I have weekly destinations in local villages and do many private events from weddings, parties corporate work and fetes. I have put my heart and solo in to the business and enjoy all of what I do, the most important thing to me is to serve every portion of fish and chips with a smile.

On average I do 40/50 wedding a year and I’m a recommend catering supplier for many venues around Norfolk. (Red barn, kings lynn.
Sussex barns, burnham market. The reading room. Alby. Haubois Hall, Norfolk. The dairy barns, Norfolk.) plus many more.

Amazing fish and chips
Ian is amazing. Highly recommended. We had him for around 80 guest wedding and he served all guest within 30min. His food is 5 stars

Fantastic quality food and service
Ian was nothing short of fantastic. We hired him for a 40th birthday party at our home and he was fabulous. Great quality food, fantastically presented with lovely cutlery packets and condiments. Ian is also just a lovely guy and was friendly and lovely to all our guests. Thank you Ian you were a huge part of us having a great party!
Great choice for evening wedding party
Ian brought his fish & chip van along for our evening wedding party in a marquee in the garden. The food was excellent & the service was friendly & very efficient. Ian catered for the children first - they loved the chicken nuggets & chips, then for the adults. He provided vegetarian / vegan & gluten free options for our guests with those dietary requirements and fish or battered sausages for the other guests.
All in all it was perfect for our informal party and I would have no hesitation in recommending Ian & his mobile chip van. Thank you Ian!!
Just brilliant!
IB the Chippy provided the fish & chip supper for Elm WI's 1940/50's 70th birthday event on Saturday night.
Absolutely amazing service, the food was ready at exactly the time we'd requested it.
Superb crispy batter, not at all greasy. Everyone said how lovely the food was.
We had a couple of dietary requests & one guest didn't like chips, we let Ian know in advance & this was no problem, he went over & above to accommodate this.
We would definitely recommend Ian again with no hesitation whatsoever.

couldn't have gone better
Ian & chum, arrived on time and set up quietly and without fuss. Served delicious food bang on time, fish was delightful but to pull off all the choices and so tastily was brilliant. Everyone said how lovely it was and so much enjoyed it. Added so much to the party, with no stress. Couldn't fault it. Hoping he's available again in August!
