What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we need the event date, time to be set up by, time frame to set up (we need at approx 2 hours), type of event, location and venue and spending budget. From this information, we will be able to use our expertise to put together some suitable packages for you to choose from.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, find out what type of balloons your provider is offering. You want to ensure the quality of the materials used as it will be reflected in the end outcome. You also want to make sure that you are environmentally friendly and using 100% latex balloons which are 100% biodegradable. Will the provider come back and clean up the balloons? Some providers charge more to come back to take down balloons, and some venues expect you to clean up all signs of your party before vacating so make sure you discuss this with both provider and venue.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have always been obsessed with making my son and husband's birthdays so special, with decorations and different themes. I now have 7 nieces and nephews and constantly asked to decorate or come up with ideas for their birthday parties. I was being paid to do these little jobs for relatives and coming up with more ideas when I came across some balloon courses. I signed up immediately and have learnt so much and realised that it is something I am good at and love to do. I have met so many wonderful people and found so much joy in being able to make special occasions that little bit more special for other people.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have booked my first event through Add to Event and am really looking forward to it! It is an 18th birthday party booked for February. It is such a special celebration to be a part of. I will update this once that booking is complete, Add to Event is going to really help my business grow.
