What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide the best quote to a customer, we want to know about you - we want to know why you're organising the event? Who is it for? What is the aim of the event? What is your dream or vision for the event?
We need the event date, an idea of the type of event they are hosting, an estimated number of guests, and potential venue.
We need to know if it's an indoor or outdoor event. If you've run your event before. Any health and safety restrictions.
Once we have all your information we can use all our knowledge, experience and contacts to get you a quote that will enable us to help you build your event, your way.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Health and safety, health and safety, health and safety.
Ask for PIPA Tags, Insurance, PAT testing certificates, risk assessments, RAMS, Gas safe certificate, food safety paperwork and any other relevant paperwork.
All reputable companies will have these in place and be willing to share with you, our industry is tainted by cowboys with little regard for safe working practices. Don't get caught out, make sure you book a company that has all the infrastructure in place for their offer.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have never understood why companies think it's okay to overcharge people for celebration services. I started Ynot Treat Yourself to bring affordable luxury to everybody.

Ynot Treat Yourself offers high-end products & services at affordable prices.

I work tirelessly behind the scenes and bring my military experience into planning all the logistics of our events & yours. I'm a qualified electrical engineer and safety is paramount to me, I verify the safety of all our equipment & our set-ups.

I insist on personally testing all of our products, if I don't love it we won't offer it.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

As we are new to this platform we haven't had any bookings yet, but I'm amazed how many enquiries come through in our area - it will potentially open up a whole new side to our business.
Lots of enquiries come through major corporate hirers and we wouldn't have access to those clients without Add to Event.
