What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote we ideally need the event date, brief explanation of the type of event and if there is a theme or colour scheme for us to work with, estimated number of guests and ages of children, if you have a venue in mind, whether it is indoor or outdoor. If you have a particular aspect that is most important please let us know so we know this is a definite requirement. If you have a budget you need to stick to please let us know. We can then create a bespoke package perfect for your occasion.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the provider for the essential bits of information such as reviews, previous customer experiences, what they have to offer and most importantly what insurance they have to ensure health and safety is the top priority.
We pride ourselves in training to ensure the person you are working with has training and experience in what they are doing. Lastly, if they are going to be working with children or food ensure they have the correct registrations, DBS checks and certification.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Butterfly Balloons was started because I had trouble getting balloons for my own daughters birthday party, I went to a leading supermarket on the morning of her birthday to find out they had no number 5 and no frozen balloons at all, I then went to the Spring Fair saw Qualatex and have been doing balloons ever since. We also offer children's parties as I have such a fantastic team who love children so much we saw a gap in the market for good themed parties so Kidz Party Crew was born alongside Butterfly Balloons.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We had a great time bringing a mermaid themed party to a lovely girls house, they had Ariel throughout the party, all had lunch together sung together and much more, we are so pleased we were able to work with this family as their smiles and feedback were amazing. Add to Event enables us to speak to people that we would never normally get the chance to communicate with.
