What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We like to know where the event is, the exact address is key. Then we like to know how many guests are attending and what are the age gaps. If it's an older crowd, for example, that would reflect on the music, so we won't be playing dance music but more oldies and cheese.
Then we like to ask what music they like to hear. This is key! not every event is the same and the right music can set the mood.
Next, we ask how long they would like a DJ for? our prices are tailored for 7 hours max if someone wants a DJ for 10 hours we will have change our prices as it will then become unsociable hours.
Lastly, we ask what is their budget, we have a set rate but sometimes we like to give clients discounts based on the information they provided us.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We get a lot of requests but the one thing we like to tell clients or customers is if you don't have all the correct information we can not give you the best price. Next, look at reviews and get a feel for the DJ and his style and try to watch videos. Check their insurance and safety certificates.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We have have been part of the club and music industry for over 10 years with vast experience in all types of music.
2x of our DJs have global radio shows on the internet with over 15 years of success.
We have been fortunate to host some fantastic events throughout South Wales, one of our DJs used to play in many of the big venues in Swansea and the other has had over 5 years experience in the Wedding entertainment side.
From this passion, we decided to venture down the mobile DJ side as we wanted to express our love for music.
It wasn't until we did our first wedding when we all decided this is what we liked and we are good at it.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Well, there has been lots through here but the most memorable one was for a Charity event we did, it was for the Brain tumour society. They wanted to have a mini-festival, so it was DJs inside and Musicians - bands outside. They asked as it was a younger crowd, for the DJs to play modern House, Trance etc while outside would be all pop and indie rock.
The highlight was a local band who was on the Voice as headliners.
We got the crowd going so hard even hard the headliners joining in with on the guitars.
The better part was that they raised over £10,000 for the Charity.
Still one of our favourite events..!!!
