What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We simply need the event date and venue, the estimated number of guests, and whether the event is indoors and outdoors. This will help us establish whether you need our indoor pop-up coffee bar (perfect during the Winter!) or our bigger outdoor-based Piaggio which has the capacity to serve 300 people.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If there is something specific you want, whether that's supplying a particular product or setting up in a particular way, communicate your vision openly and honestly. That also includes how a supplier fits into the entire day rather than just his/her part of it - you need to make sure everyone else has the same picture as you so the event runs as smoothly as possible.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Peace and Coffee were born of the desire to provide ethically-sourced great-tasting tea, coffee and hot chocolate from mobile platforms. It sounds really cheesy but meeting interesting people and putting a smile on their face is the best job in the world! We have evolved over time and now also provide the same products from a converted shipping container at Millbay Dock for all Brittany Ferry departures but we still LOVE doing indoor and outdoor events with our pop-up coffee bar and Piaggio.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We received a booking for a wedding at the beautiful Polhawn Fort in Cornwall. The wedding was in March so the weather was always going to be questionable. They initially booked the Piaggio but with stormy weather finally forecast, we switched to our indoor pop-up coffee bar to provide the same service under cover! Our bride was so happy with our flexibility and easy-going approach, small things make a big difference to a very busy bride and groom in the final few days.
