What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To enable us to provide a detailed quotation, apart from the date, as much information about the nature of the event, timings, numbers of guests and the venue will help us respond quickly and in detail. This will also enable you to get a better idea of our suitability in offering what you are looking for.

If, for example, you are planning a wedding reception in a marquee, then we would expect to provide catering equipment, refrigeration, crockery, cutlery & glassware. If you had booked your
local village hall, much of that may already be supplied and this would inevitably have an impact on the cost.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you are looking for a catering company, in the first instance give as much information as you can,
which should enable a speedy reply with the correct detailed information, suitably seasonal menus, and an overview of the services that can be supplied. Secondly why not call & speak personally to the owner of the business or the chef? This will enable you not only to gauge their level of
professionalism, enthusiasm & commitment but you should be able to ask all manner of questions and get a prompt response.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I founded Tailor Made Top Nosh 8 years ago, following a long career as a head chef in
Country House Hotels, my own starred & rosetted restaurants, and highly rated gastropubs. I have
always enjoyed dealing with clients in person helping in planning their event. Whether it be a simple shoot lunch, 4-course supper, or a wedding, I care passionately about offering excellent fine dining,
where the standard, quality & provenance of the food, discrete personal service and attention to
detail in a relaxed & friendly manner are of paramount importance.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

The business that has come through the Add to Event website has been very enjoyable & satisfying. I have had a number of bookings through Add to Event and I would not hesitate to recommend the
