What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

How many children/ people are going to be at the event, and how long you would like me to be there. The start and finish time is also key to know. It would be good to know if you have already booked anything else; for example a bouncy castle or magic show.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be realistic about what one person can achieve, I am often asked to face paint, entertain and make balloons for 40 children all in one hour. It's a good idea to ask suppliers how long they need to paint one face or make one balloon etc. It's quite difficult to entertain a broad age group, as children under five enjoy different things to older children. Think about parking and access for your supplier, as you want them to be able to get to the event and they will probably have equipment to bring in too. Cheapest isn't always the best.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Racing Snail Creative Entertainment was started after a children's theatre tour. My company specialises in different types of entertainment. I love the variety of the work, and that I often get to share special events and moments.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

There have been lots of different requests for a variety of events and one of my favourites was for a 90th birthday party. I was booked for the children but ended up making balloons for all of the guests and they all loved them!
