Serving speciality coffee, tea and hot chocolates from their custom Piaggio Ape coffee van, Grouch Coffee utilise the complete self sufficiency of the unit to serve at events and locations that other coffee producers couldn't get anywhere near. An ethical provider, Grouch Coffee uses Fairtrade products, with free range/organic milk from local dairies.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to be able to provide a quote to a customer, the most important initial information required is the event date and timings, event type, estimated number of guests, whether indoors or outdoors, whether electricity is available and whether we would be the only speciality coffee provider present. From this we can then establish whether the event is suitable and contact the organiser.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking for a mobile coffee van, look at their profile page and all social media pages - Instagram, Facebook and Twitter - and read comments on their posts and reviews from customers. Find out about their equipment, suppliers and what their menu consists of.

Grouch Coffee is a speciality coffee van. Spending years managing coffee shops in London and learning everything I can about coffee means my experience in coffee and of customer service is extremely high. My latte art is strong, presentation immaculate and I am a happy person who loves to smile - especially when caffeinating people!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I recommend Add to Event to other traders as it has provided us with lots of exposure and job opportunities. All of our events secured through the site have been positive and worthwhile. One of our greatest was a Jazz and Swing Festival over three days in Gloucester. Amazing response and comments about Grouch Coffee from the event organisers and all the dancers and guests. We had tremendous fun and it was so special to be a part of.
