What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Typically we require the following details for us to provide a fixed quote covering the event and providing a service to all guests this includes the number of guests along with venue capacity, whether the event is indoors or outdoors this is due to perhaps other event-related equipment needed which incurs additional costs, venue location is crucial this allows us to estimate transport and other travel expenses.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, any customer hiring a service needs to look at a number of things before entering into an agreement. Number one is portfolio this is crucial in deciding if the business has previous experience in delivering exceptional service to clients and their guests. Number 2 is whether the business has reviews from previous customers and have a read of their reviews to see what type of service they received. Number 3 if you're asking for a food service be sure to check if the supplier has the relevant health and safety documents such as food safety certificates as you do not want an upset tummy. Number four last on the list of top 4 checklist of when picking a supplier is ask them questions relating to the service they are offering such as food and what type of food they offer and what is the best option to pick for your event this will give you a sense of understanding to see if the supplier is indeed informed well about what his services offers or not.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Drip Entertainment started as a live music events business specialising in live music performances organising, planning and executing top of the range events to audiences of up to 600 people. As the business got better and better we went back to our old craft which was the food sector which we did way before events and brought together our love and passion of food and our events business and Drip Entertainment was born. Our desserts are drip (tasty) and our events are entertaining. In total, we have 12 years of food experience and 6 years of event planning experience.
