What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a comprehensive quote that is suitable for any event, I will need an event date, a brief explanation of the type of the event that is being hosted, (i.e. wedding, party, commercial event), whether its indoors or outdoors, how many guests and the preferred style of music that is required. From this, I can use my experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list, setlist and design for the evening.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask them about their influences, their preferred music choice and what songs get them up on the dancefloor. My interest in becoming a DJ came about from wanting to emulate what I heard in the clubs or parties, playing those 'bangers' that everyone loves and forcing them to gravitate towards the dancefloor to get lost in that song that they love.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My career in DJing has stemmed from my love of music and seeing others enjoy music. I have spent years putting together playlists for parties and playing the music that people love and therefore getting them on the dancefloor. My passion has always been music and having a solid party. This passion has led me to explore new sounds and therefore create new sounds through my mixes and making music fun and interesting, but most importantly, enjoyable.
