What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and venue and type of music required. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the provider about the product they are offering, I wouldn't want my hair cut by someone who didn't know much about hair, so when looking for a DJ make sure they know what type of night you require. Furthermore, you need to ensure they can create the right atmosphere with lighting etc to make the event go well.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have been a DJ for over 30 years along with sports commentary and radio work. I left the industry to try other routes in my career, but the call of entertainment was too great. I relaunched my DJ career and found that my knowledge of older music and my previous skills came to the fore and the "Buzz" came back.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
