What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

I require certain information in order for me to provide a quote for your event. First and foremost, I require the date, start and finish time, location, and type of event. The estimated number of guests doesn't affect a quote, but gives me an idea of what to expect at the time of the event. Venue and location helps me determine the distance, size, whether indoors or outdoors, and ground floor or higher.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When quoting for an event, I want to know what the customer is expecting. Any particular music, 80's & 90's, or Motown & Soul, or Cheese and 90's etc. This helps me know what to expect on the evening to make sure the customer gets what they are expecting. My setup is clean and tidy. I take a lot of pride in setting my system up and making it clean, tidy and safe. Whilst my main goal is to provide the right music and keep the night flowing, my appearance plays a big part in any event I participate in.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My passion is music and keeping people happy. My customers and their guests are my main priority, and I enjoy providing a service that I can call my own. I started DJing approx. 7 years ago, when I played some music for a friend's birthday party and got a large number of compliments from the night. So I started with a small amount of equipment and built my own pride and joy setup which I am extremely happy with, I know my customers are happy with also.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had a lot of bookings through this platform, and every single event has been enjoyable, and a success. One particular event I got booked for on Add to Event, was a 50th birthday party in a marquee, which was a large party with a catering service, and pop-up bar, all round, the event was fantastic. I played music upon guest entrance, sit down dinner, and then finished the evening off with dancing till kick-out time!
