Based in West Sussex, Visual Music Productions is an entertainment company that specialises in DJ'ing for weddings, birthday parties, company functions, school discos, nightclubs and bars. They also hire out sound and lighting equipment.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to customer, ideally we need the event date, what type of event they are hosting, the number of guests and the venue address. Also, it is quite helpful to let us know the size of room or if you're using a marquee etc.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the DJ about what they are offering, make sure they have experience and the right equipment, that they are PAT tested and that they hold Public Liability Insurance.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We started Visual Music Productions for the simple reason that we love to dance! We definitely have a passion for music! Over the last 20 years, we have played in some the biggest venues and countries over the world. We have even played at the Ministry of Sound and have reached and played music for people as far as Alaska. We now focus on providing service for the south-east of England.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Visual Music Productions has just started using this site and already is seeing great response from birthday parties by email. We are still new to this site, but I hope to increase our bookings very soon.
