What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To hire us we need certain information to make your event a success. We need the time and date of the event, the style of the event indoors outdoors etc. We also need the number of guests expected so that we can quote correctly. We need to be made aware of any allergens that guest may have so we can cater for these guests as well. We need to know if there are children as we can also cater for them as well. We do not. require any power as we are self-sufficient and silent.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check your provider's hygiene certificates and read reviews about their level of service. ask about their suppliers and how the food is cooked.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We love the people we meet and enjoy the banter with the regulars, they are treated like old friends rather than customers. We brought the business from a friend we met whilst catering on our other van and took over the rounds, this is the best move we have made to date and really enjoy the vibe.
We currently run a successful fish and chip van serving the smaller villages of West Sussex 3 nights a week and have a loyal following of regular customers. We source our fish from a local supplier in Porstmouth to ensure we have the highest quality to offer our customers. Everything is cooked fresh to order to ensure the highest standard of food. The batter is light and crispy and our chips are piping hot.
We have a 5-star hygiene rating on our van which can be viewed on the scores on the doors website. Everyone on the van has a minimum level 2 food hygiene.

We have had many bookings through Add to Event as most of the relevant questions have been asked which make the process straightforward.
