What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide an accurate quote we would need to know what the occasion is and type of event you are organizing. We also need the number of people to be served, the date and estimated time of the event, location/venue (easy access, hard standing, on grass, is it a muddy field), if you have a budget in mind and whether there are any dietary requirements or any other special requirements that we always try our best to accommodate. Once we have these details we use our expert knowledge to provide a quote perfect for your requirements.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We would always recommend asking the provider where they get their produce from, how it is sourced and cooked as every good caterer should be able to give you provenance on their products I.e. We could tell you what seas the fish you’re eating tonight was caught in, who caught it and what the journey from sea to fryer has been. All providers will also have many reviews and testimonials which are extremely helpful to judge if they are the best fit for the event you are organising along with the professional set up and reliability of the company. It’s also advisable to ask what their food hygiene rating is. Check and confirm what is included in the cost and if there are any additional costs you may have to consider. Get all of the above on the invoice in writing.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We have spent the last twenty years or so organizing catering for Weddings and Events in and around Stratford upon Avon. Our passion is hospitality and to continue to provide the finest traditional Fish & Chips experience for Weddings and Events in the Country (please check our website for National Awards). Whilst helping to make sure the biggest and most special day of your life is remembered fondly by all of your family and friends for many, many years to come.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had the pleasure of doing many weddings that have come to us through Add to Event all of which were amazing occasions and we have met some wonderful people. It's difficult to pick just one booking to comment on - we catered at Waitrose for their Partnership day and served all their 300 staff. We had to be very precise on our cooking times to make sure that when each section of staff had their allocated lunchtime slot everything was ready to go, piping hot giving them plenty of time to enjoy their celebrations. It was the hottest day of the year and we are very grateful that the team at Waitrose kept our staff well watered! The reviews were fantastic and they have already booked us for their summer party 2019. We are looking forward to catering at even more Weddings and Events via this platform in the coming Year and we are happy to recommend Add to Event to other suppliers.
