What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote, we need the event date, food preferences, number of guests, possibility to use/or not the kitchen at the venue, dietary requirements, equipment required. From this we can put together couple of different options.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly ask the provider what type of food/events they are specializing in. For example I wouldn't get involved in African Buffet but would be very happy to do an excellent BBQ event. Ask them about their background, where they source their products/supplies, how many events they have hosted. Ask them what is their experience in the type of supply they are offering. For example I have only had my business for 3 months but have been working in hospitality for over 25 years

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Eat Away Catering is the follow-up to the meal box delivery I operated during the 2nd lockdown. I am a successful and passionate chef by nature and at some point, I have decided to go solo and use my vast hospitality experience in the catering business.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had 3 bookings and it is just the beginning of my journey, 2 of my events are next week so maybe as I have some reviews/completed services it will get even better.
