What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Information we require to best quote for events; number of people to feed. Serving format (i.e plated or 'one handed food'). Time & Date of event. Dietary requirements. Any specific requests.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Experience is the main thing to look for when selecting 'hog roasters', and specify if its a 'whole hog' (some providers only really offer joints - not the taste or the impressiveness of an actual hog roast). Ask what numbers they can cater for - a small hog will still feed 100+ people. They may offer 1/2 hog to feed smaller numbers.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

It's a family business. My grandfather farmed pigs in Lincolnshire for 60 years+ and the hog roast business was an extension of this. Since then, we have run restaurants and a catering business as further developments of the business.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event is very efficient. Once you've sent the initial quote and heard back from the client, it's very much like a normal booking. I do like that all of the contact details are supplied (i.e email & telephone number), which saves lots of back & forth messages. It's easy to use and quick.
