What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote, I would require the event date, the timings for the event, the type of venue (home, restaurant, function rook, etc) and the format for the event. The format might be mix and mingle for example, suitable for a drinks reception or standing buffet. It may also be a sit-down meal or a combination of both.

It is also worth knowing if the customer may wish to include a show for the room.

We would also need to know whether the audience will be adults only or families with younger children.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask to see examples of them working with guests at various types of functions and customer reviews. This should be available through a website or social media platform.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Just like Dynamo, the street magician, I focus on modernising traditional magic plots to make them as appealing to younger and older generations alike. I also aim to bring variety to my performance as well as theatre to elevate the magic and mind-reading and create amazing reactions for audiences. I use modern everyday items whenever possible too (money, phones, jewellery, dice, Rubik's cubes), and perform close up visual and impossible magic in the hands of spectators.

I performed at a large corporate event that came through Add to Event fairly recently. I was asked to entertain guests during a stunning drinks reception in a west-end luxury hotel. It was a fabulous evening for all and the booker gave me a 5 star review.
