What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To enable us to provide an accurate quote to our clients, we require as much information as possible. Included in this is 4 key points we need to know. 1: Brief summary of the event type 2: Number of guests both adults and children 3: Date/Timings for the event 4: Location.

After we have received this information we can provide you with an accurate quote, but please do try include as much information as possible.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

At VertigoEvents which is run by myself Dominic and my soon to be wife Rachel, we encourage all of our clients to meet before the event. This way you develop that sense of trust, that we feel you just can't get over the phone/email and you can put a face to the emails/calls. Call us old fashioned (which is a great cocktail) but you can't beat that! A survey found that 45% of couples care about helpfulness and friendliness when booking wedding suppliers!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

In 1998 Vertigo was founded as an activity company teaching climbing with our mobile climbing wall at ClimbVertigo, 2012 VertigoZorbing was founded headed up by us Rachel & Dominic, it soon became the leading Zorbing provider in the South, in 2016 we moved more and more into events, having now done work for Redbull, BBC, ITV, LV, JP Morgan, Lush & more.

It soon became clear we had turned into an events company! 2017 we bought the bar you can see more about this journey on another page. VertigoEvents and Since 2017 we have been to several weddings, over 30 corporate events and a festival. We have learnt so much over the years, Dominic has had previous bar experience which helped massively with this venture of ours. We are not a huge company and we commit to having that personal relationship with each and every customer to ensure great customer service. When you book us you literally get us, plus our lovely staff!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are newbies on Add to Event but it's been a great experience thus far! We provided our prestigious mobile bar to Poole & Bournemouth College for a mini music festival. The platform enabled easy communication with the client, the client was able to see all the information first hand on the Add to Event platform and if there was anything they didn't understand they could easily message us! The event was a success and we look forward to many more bookings through Add to Event!
