In order for us to be able to provide an accurate price, we would need 1. The estimated guest numbers. 2. The location of the service with venue Eircode, 3. Drinks menu, including preferred drinks and beverages to be served and 4. the date.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Have a look at your plans and event details to be able to list the basic details like numbers, date and timelines, drinks menu, theme, style and atmosphere wanted for your guests. There are many elements in what makes a great event and event supplier, so do not be afraid to ask questions and get creative with any ideas you may have as most of the quality suppliers will try to accommodate or even get creative also for a better experience for everyone. Not all suppliers are the same though so do your research and don't be afraid to pick up the phone to call and speak directly as that will be of great help in selecting your supplier.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The Irish Horsebox bar hire was an already established wedding company for over 5 years but during COVID it was serving and delighting through a local coffee service. It was lovingly created by the previous owners who started the conversion of a beautiful Rice horse box to serve drinks at weddings. During its first few years it very successful with a number of quality reviews and it became known for its amazing "Chapel Box" post-ceremony hot drinks which guests just love.

We took over the business at the end of 2019 and we were delighted to get it touched up and customised to get back on the road serving weddings and events all over Ireland.

I have a 20-year background in hospitality and events with some of the best bar groups, venues and drinks brands in the country. I have always loved to delight guests through quality service in catering and beverage services, and after COVID with the drinks, events and wedding industry suffering some major challenges. We saw a number of obstacles for brides & grooms, wedding planners, event organisers to be able to plan out a modern, quality bar and beverage service for events in Ireland.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had a large amount of quality and unique enquiries and bookings through this platform! We have already and would further recommend Add to Event. We love the varied and full range of requests that come in, as we are happiest when being creative and planning big events! Our favourite event so far and no offence to the fun and highly enjoyable others ones, would be a corporate event for a social media marketing company we did back in December for their Christmas party. We provided a custom bar build and set up in the basement of their office building. The drinks menu was tailored to the guests and the season with 3 customised cocktails including Holly Jolly, Festive Sangria and The Grinch! Also along with the cocktails we provided our custom draft hire units to be able to serve creamy Guinness & Heineken all night to a lovely and lively crowd!
