What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to be able to provide a true quote for any event we would require the customer to provide us with the date of the event, type of event (i.e. 30th birthday, wedding etc.), start and finish times of the disco, address of the venue and approximate amount of guests attending.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We recommend that when looking for a mobile disco you find out as much about them as you can. You should research the company and dig out reviews about them. The last thing you want is to pay for a mobile disco that has a habit of not turning up or doesn't play the type of music you want. Make sure that the mobile disco you hire has Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and up to date Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) certificates. Also, remember that you get what you pay for. i.e. if you are only charged £90 for a 4-hour disco - ask yourself "why so little"?.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Prime Discos was started out of pure love of music and entertaining! I first started helping my uncle with his discos when I was only 10 (30 years ago!). Since then, I had the bug for it. I went on to be a local radio presenter and did some DJing before starting my mobile disco company.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have not long been a member of Add to Event and so far have completed 2 of our bookings via this superb platform (we have been in business for many years getting discos from other sources). Both the bookings we have completed on this platform so far have given us 5-star ratings! They were both a blast as they were fancy dress parties. We love seeing the imagination of outfits people turn up in! We had to play music from the 70s onwards and absolutely loved it! Looking forward to more!
