What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To enable us to give a competitive and accurate quote we will always require a few brief details. These would normally include a date of the event, the nature of the event,e.g wedding, surprise party, corporate event etc. We will also need to know the location of the event. Lastly, the time required that the customer would require us to perform. This way we can give an accurate quote from the outset.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking for a disco or karaoke there are a number of things to take into consideration. First of all, check out previous customers reviews. This should give you a good idea on the level of service being offered. The next would be to check if the company hold current public liability insurance and also pat testing as most venues will require evidence of this. Also making sure the company is going to be reliable. Sometimes things in life can go wrong but there should always be a good contingency plan to cover the worst case of scenarios.e.g is back up equipment carried, staff to cover the booking due to illness etc.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The Footloose Roadshow was started a good few years ago by its owners. After many years in the entertainment business providing PA systems and lighting for many touring bands (some quite famous too!) we decided to start to offer a mobile disco service. Our years of musical knowledge had given us the experience required to put the show on the road. we are totally customer focused and we feel passionate about music and the service we provide. Seeing people enjoy themselves is a great buzz and being part of someone's special day, for instance, is so satisfying.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event is a great way to achieve bookings, we have had lots and lots, even some repeat bookings. But the one event that would stand out for us would be the joint 40th birthday disco we did in Cullompton. a fancy dress themed party based on people wearing anything to do with the letter T. The costumes were crazy! From Thunderbirds to Tina Turner, there was even a giant T Rex! Not forgetting, of course, Donald Trump! The whole evening was so much fun and such a great mix of people and personalities. We had amazing reviews and have since been booked again for a similar event. This is all down to Add to Event for providing the platform. We would recommend this platform to anybody in the leisure industry, and we do on a regular basis.
