Funktion Events have been established in East Sussex for over ten years providing quality wedding & mobile DJ services across the south coast. All the DJs come from a professional background with experience working in night clubs bars weddings and corporate events.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide a detailed quote for a customer ideally I would need the event date, what type of event it is there planning, the number of guests the venue they have chosen, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event and the room is on the ground floor or not. From this, I can put together a suitable equipment list and design for the customer.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

First of all, I would ask the provider what experience they have and any evidence that they could show, for examples pictures videos social media pages or websites and ask them about the equipment they use and if it has been PAT tested.
They would also need to be aware that all DJs should have liability insurance to play in any venue and ask them for their insurance certificate as a venue could turn down that provider.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have been a DJ for over 20 years and always have been into music since an early age. I have DJ'd all over the country and across Europe and held serval residencies on the continent.
I have been running a successful mobile DJ business on the south coast and have thousands of weddings birthdays and corporate events parties under my belt.
I pride myself on delivering a first-class service from the quote to the last song I play I put a lot of energy into the night and enjoy watching people having a great time.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

This platform from my point of view has been a success for me personally I have had many fantastic bookings and some great reviews from clients that have booked me via Add to Event.
