What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to be able to provide a comprehensive quote, we need to know the date, time the event is starting and for how long they require our services. It's also essential to understand the type of event and age range of the guests attending so we can try and accommodate all guests and tastes. It's also helpful to have a confirmed venue so we can take into consideration how far we may have to travel.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ask a customer to think about the type of mobile disco they would like, and see if the provider can cater for the needs they have. I would also emphasise how vital it is that the DJ is insured. Also, cheaper is not always better, check the reviews they have and also ask to see photos of previous set ups.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

JL Sounds was a company I built up after finding a love for DJ'ing when my dad owned a bar in Greece. I learnt the ropes out with him when I was only 8 years old! This is just something I have always decided is the right path for me. I love people, music and hospitality. Different venues and being able to provide people with memories on their special occasions is so special to me.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to event is brilliant. There are so many quote requests coming through to me every day. I respond to as many as possible, and have been fortunate enough to secure many bookings. It is a really well run site. I was able to provide services at a wedding recently and it was brilliant. Everyone there was really pleased with my services too. The event was in Essex, which is in an area that I wouldn't really advertise in, but am more than happy to travel too. This site has enabled us to reach out into more areas. Thank you!
