Based in Elland West Yorkshire, The Gin Bar Box Company Limited provides gin bars for weddings, fetes, private parties, festivals and more. Also offering private gin tasting events at your home, they provide service for West Yorkshire and more further afield.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a comprehensive quote we need to know the date and duration of the event, the type of event that is being hosted and the location and venue. Once we know this we can work out the logistics of getting our bar to the event and have an idea of exactly what products to bring. As our bar is in a converted vehicle it is important that we know what sort of venue the event will be held at as we can't fit in everywhere.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you want a really great experience, ask the provider about the products they are offering. We are a mobile gin bar with extensive knowledge about the products we sell, the gins and the mixers and also the correct way to serve them. Make sure that the provider knows the products that they are selling.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Gin Bar Box came from our love of gin! Simon had an Instagram page called GinWhisperer which shared his passion for gins and the correct ways to serve them. We wanted to rid the world from mediocre G&T's. We started out providing tasting events and when we moved to Yorkshire we took the plunge, Simon left his job and we bought a horse box and set about converting it into the our bar. We are both from a retail background so thrive on providing great service and a memorable experience along with fantastic G&T's. We still host tasting events too, when we aren't out and about with the bar.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Our second ever event was booked through Add to Event! We provided a bar for a charity T20 Cricket event and we were able to arrange the event at very short notice, as the customer had provide most of the information we needed in his event description and the ability to message on the site really helped. We had great reviews on the day and the client has invited us back to future events for the charity.
I am always recommending Add to Event whenever we are out and about at events as some people struggle to get info on where to get bookings. Although we are only in our first year, Add to Event has helped us to grow our business.
