Mobile Bar Hire in Yorkshire and Humber

Angel’s Share Mobile Bar is a fully adaptable bar in a converted Rice Beaufort horse trailer but is also able to provide a more traditional wooden bar if needed. They stock a great range of drinks, sourced as far as possible from Yorkshire producers, and they also have some tips for when hiring a mobile bar for your event.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a quote to a customer, for a private event, we need a few details: date and times of the event, a brief explanation of the type of event, number of guests, address of the venue and which, or both, of our bars the customer, would like to book.
Once this is supplied we will arrange a date with the customer to meet at the venue well before the date of the event. This helps to ensure minimal interruptions from us on the day of the event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would advise a potential client to have a rough idea of the type of bar they are looking for and how much they are wanting to spend on the hire fee. There are plenty of bars in horse trailers along with other weird and wonderful vehicles, the advantage of booking The Angels Share is that we can provide a bar for any occasion tailored to how the customer would like. Gin Bar, Craft Beer/Cider Bar, Full Bar, Prosecco Bar, Cocktail Bar, we can do them all.
Having recently got married myself I became aware of how the cost can spiral even when trying to keep it down. Our hire fee helps keep the cost down but doesn't compromise on quality. All we ask as a hire fee is for our costs to be covered, petrol to and from the venue, a license to serve alcohol from the local council (£21) and staff wages.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The idea for The Angels Share came had been floating around in my head for a while, upon watching a film called 'Chef' I became obsessed in making the daydream a reality.
At the same time, our little girl entered the world meaning it was too much of a risk to leave a full-time wage and have the business as a sole source of income. So, for the first couple of years, I did as much as I was allowed to have time off by my employers.
In 2018 I ran all the bars for the Great Yorkshire Fringe in York, an 11 day festival of comedy and the arts. This was the turning point that allowed me to try and grow the business and take a step down from working full time for someone else.
The Angels Share has grown slowly and this year we are looking to add a 10x15m stretch tent to the business.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Of all the bookings we have received through this platform the one I am most proud of is Lizfest. This is a small festival held every year in memory of a wonderful lady who sadly lost her battle with cancer. The event is organised by her friends and family and we have been asked back to run a Gin Bar for 3 years now and, as with all charity events we are happy to donate a percentage of our profits to the charity the event is raising money for.
