What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a specific quote we need the event date, the number of guests attending, the occasion of the event, the format of the evening, sit down, relaxed or party. Then we need to know if there are any setup and or delivery restrictions such as times and days. From this, we can then suggest packages with listed prices for you.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The events supplies market can be a minefield! So much variation with price and quality with no connection between the two. In other words, you need to do your research. Ask if the supplier subcontracts any equipment, how old their equipment is, how they look after their equipment and then why they offer the selection they have on offer. Ask them why they are cheaper or more expensive than other suppliers and how they see themselves in the market. Once you have established all of this you should be able to determine which suppliers offer value for money and who will give you the confidence to deliver the equipment that you require.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We started the business 15 years ago through a love of working in the events industry. I noticed a gap in the market where there was not a true one stop shop for event supplies. Since the beginning, we have always aimed to be the best event suppliers in the market offering quality events with superb service.
