What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me, the main details for any quote are normally the budget they have for the event this seems to be where I find most Weddings are trying to run with a budget. Then we come to the size of the wedding the difference in working with a 30 intimate wedding to 120 guests is so much more work and will always change the quote. And finally to know that Bridal couple have already booked the wedding venue and not just having a bit of fun getting quotes.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice to all Wedding couples is that I would recommend meeting up with your supplier before the big day to make sure that on your Wedding day you feel that your Photographer has listened to how you see your Wedding day. At the second meeting discuss the important photographs for the Wedding day family, friends, bridal party, and detailed shots of the room.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started in 1988 as a wedding videographer and then decided to invest in a couple of horse-drawn carriages as it seemed to be very popular as most weddings in the 1980/1990s seemed to be local and not a lot of travelling. I then went to night school to be a photographer in 1992 and sold my carriages to invest in cameras. I have been in the wedding industry for a long time but just seems like yesterday. I love my job.

I have seen a change in the amount of enquires over the last 3 months. and have now started to get some bookings.
