What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to be able to give a comprehensive quote, I need to know, the date, the event venue, the number of guests, a brief explanation of how you would like the day to be shot, and how best you would like to receive your photos. From this I can marry you up to a package I already have, or create something bespoke for you.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always get 3 quotes. Always ask to see a full album. Use the photographer's website to study their work. People only show their best, so ask to see a full album.
Know if you want an album, a USB, an online gallery. It will reflect the price.
Be prepared to pay for what you get. Photography isn’t cheap, and if it is.. it’s usually not that good.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I have wanted to be a photographer since I was a little girl! I shot my high school yearbook. Candid photos of people laughing and being happy is my favourite thing in the world! Memories captured authentically, with the subjects unaware they’ve even been taken.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

My very first job through Add to Event was a wedding in London. An amazing wedding! The couple got married at a quirky pub, they had a big band with every instrument going, a big double-decker red bus, and tonnes of happy friends and dancing.

They were chuffed with the photographs. Chuffed with me and I was grateful to have been picked.
