What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide you with the best comprehensive quote, ideally I'd need to know the date of the booking, the time I would be required to be on-site and the length of time you would like me to be available to cover your event. More importantly though, I would like to know your expectations. Would you like comprehensive editing completed? Prints? Digital media? or downloads? All these things can have an effect on the final costings to your booking.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you're hiring a photographer to capture the events of your evening, or have specific requirements to the type of images you expect, it's important to make sure your photographer understands your requirements and that you are confident they will capture what you want. The photographer's idea of what is important might be very different to what you expect, so ensure you discuss these details. Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

When I first started photography, I found it hit me in a very big way. Before I knew it, I always had a camera in my hand and would look to photograph everything! The business was born from this natural desire to shoot amazing photographs. I was fortunate to cover some very big events including the Eastern Electrics Dance Festival and the Sonisphere Festival. Event photography is exciting, fast paced and thoroughly good fun!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

There have been some very solid leads generated by Add to Event and as a result I have recommended their services numerous times. One booking that stands out to me was a last-minute request from a company who wanted some promotional shots of their staff working at a local charity event. Fortunately, I was available at such short notice and went along and spent the evening shooting the event and their staff hard at work. I submitted the final images, and they were so grateful for the speed in which I managed to do this and the amount of images they had to choose from for their promotional materials and social media. it was immensely satisfying to have provided that service to them when it was such short notice.
