What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote, we need the location/venue details, the number of people and ideally the type of event (wedding, birthday party etc). An idea of budget is a good idea plus confirmation that we can get our truck into/onto the venue.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I'd ask some background information, the experience of the founders, their capabilities, perhaps even references. It's really easy to hire the wrong people, knowing who you are dealing with is really important. Are they reliable, could they let you down, what's the food like? Can you try it in advance? We offer everybody looking to make a booking to come and try our food, see and taste if for yourselves, meet the team, see who you are dealing with.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Camion Kitchen / No.3 Pizza was started in the second lockdown in November 2020. We're a family business and started cooking pizzas from our house, raising money for NHS Heroes at the height of the pandemic. Cameron had been a chef for seven years, working in high-end restaurants with some of the county's finest chefs having started his career with world-famous McLaren Formula One team. The pandemic meant he was out of work. We were selling out week after week and people were loving our pizzas so we decided to buy Bertie, our truck and the rest is history.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We're really happy with Add to Event having joined up in February / March of this year. We've had a few bookings already with people booking up for last-minute things to planning weddings etc for next year. The quality is there, we're really happy and there's a steady stream of enquiries, we sometimes struggle to keep up! The filters help though so you can narrow down your searches and make sure you are getting what you want. If it's quiet, you can open up the filters and get a bit busier.
