For me to provide an in-depth and accurate quote to a customer, I would need an event date, number of people expected and a brief explanation of the type of event. A few sentences is normally enough. What sort of food & budget you would like is always very helpful too.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask about the experience of the private chef. Do they have the know-how, capabilities and experience to offer what you want? If the price they have quoted you inclusive of VAT, surcharges and any hidden extras? Also, it's always handy to find out if the supplier has the right equipment for the job. It's no good turning up to cater for a hog roast with a microwave and a spoon!

Chef Karl Tyler started out of passion for good food. I have worked for many different venues and experienced several different types of food, but now was my time to do it my way - good, classic dishes cooked extremely well!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

There have been plenty of bookings from Add to Event! The website works in a great, handy way that narrows down the requests to the ones that are relevant to my business. I can then hand pick the ones I want to quote for and then go from there. A large dinner party would be my pick of the week! The clients were also very happy with the website, and loved the catering that I provided for them. I have received repeat business from them for the future, and I couldn't recommend Add to Event more!
