What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to be able to provide the most accurate quote we can, the most important information we need is where, when and for how long. We also need to know what type of event you are holding is and the services you need our staff to provide. With this information we can suggest the amount of staff we feel would be required and give an exact price.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice to anyone looking to hire staff, is to make sure you do your research, work out exactly what it is you need from the supplier and take the advice given from them on board (if they suggest 3 staff but you only asked for 2 there is a good chance that from previous experience they know that this is the right amount of people for the type of event). Ask the supplier if the price is for everything you need, or if there are extra charges. Ask if a deposit is required and how the final payment is to be made.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

After working for various staffing companies and seeing staff that are only there to earn money rather than out of enjoyment, we decided to start Elite Event Services because we wanted to be able to provide staff that will go out of their way to make our customers events run as smoothly as possible. All of our staff take great pride in there work and are more than happy to go the extra mile and use their initiative rather than just waiting for more orders to be given from the customer.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I would definitely recommend Add to Event, as it makes finding customers and suppliers so simple. As a new business, we first thought that finding work would be difficult. But our diary filled up much quicker than we anticipated. One of our very first clients will be the most memorable, as it was a booking made the day before the party - so being able to help them out at such short notice and the appreciation from them for doing so was a brilliant feeling.
