Funky Faces provide face painting and temporary glitter tattoos for children and adults throughout Berkshire and beyond. With almost 20 years of professional make-up artistry experience, Funky Faces can provide face painting that is both high quality and fast - reliably painting up to 12 full faces per hour or glitter tattooing up to 15 faces per hour. What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

A good starting point would be the date and venue. Approximate number of guests would be needed as then I can work out how long you would need to hire me for. If you had a special theme then I can tailor make designs to suit the occasion. Finally what sort of event is it? If it's an outdoor festival for example I would need to know about facilities, parking etc so I can arrive fully prepared.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for an artist who has experience and is used to dealing with large numbers of guests. Often, small children have trouble sitting still for any length of time and also are more likely to have skin sensitivities - so for this reason it is recommended not to face-paint or have glitter tattoos on under 3's. If it is for an all day event make sure your artist takes regular breaks otherwise their work could suffer if they get tired! If the purpose of the event is to raise funds then organise as much advertising and marketing in advance in order to promote your event and maximise visitor numbers.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Having worked as a professional make-up artist, in my spare time I was often asked for my services at local theatre groups and at school fayres. From there I could see a trend emerging especially amongst parents looking for new ideas on how to entertain their children at parties and thus Funky Faces was born!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Since I started advertising on Add to Event I've had a steady stream of bookings.
