What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote, we ideally need the event date, the location of the event, the number of guests, power supply and dietary requirements.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check online reviews and their companies website. As we are a food catering business, these are key - as well as images of the product and whether the company has the correct insurance.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Before starting a family, I was a wedding planner but also have always been heavily involved in the catering business having run restaurants and cafes in the past. We saw an opportunity to serve up tasty dessert treats at weddings and Waffle Wands has grown from there. We've branched out further from weddings into events and have made a few public appearances at things such as St Albans Christmas light switch on.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
The process of using Add to Event is ideal for customers and suppliers to match in a simple and easy way. We have taken bookings but not yet carried out the work. The system is efficient and has an easy step by step platform. We have received a large amount of requests in the short time we have been on the platform, which has given us good exposure on social media and helped us generate a buzz around our business.
