What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide you with a complete quotation, we require the following information:
Number of guests
How many waffles per guest you require (1/2/unlimited)
The date, time and venue of your event.
Whether or not electricity is available for us to use - a domestic plug socket is fine
If you require any special dietary portions - Vegan and Gluten-free need to be preordered

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When hiring companies that make waffles/crepes or other such items - it's always a good idea to ask how many they can make in a given time period. At Nomad Waffles - we are a fully professional set up, using industrial Waffle Irons - we are able to make 16 waffles every 3 minutes. Other companies may be using irons marketed for domestic use, and therefore are able to only make one at a time.
Also, ask what brands they are using as sauces and toppings. We only use the finest in Belgian Chocolate, others may be using squeeze bottles sourced at the local supermarket. It is also possible that other providers may be serving shop-bought waffles and crepes.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Having trained as a chef, and working in commercial kitchens for many years, I have developed the skills to develop taste combinations and excellent products. When I was looking for providers for my own wedding, I found that the prices were extremely high considering what was on offer. I have also always loved Waffles! So I set out to provide a service that is professional, affordable but doesn't compromise on taste or quality.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had many bookings thanks to Add to Event, and have served our waffles to thousands of people with excellent feedback. The highlight of our bookings, was when we took on a corporate booking on a film set in Cumbria to serve around 100 people. When we arrived, it was none other than Stanley Tucci and Colin Firth - they both loved the waffles.
