What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To enable us to provide our potential customer with a comprehensive quote we need to understand the type of event, the number of guests that we will be catering for, the date and the venue of the event. We would also require information relating to dietary requirements. This would enable us to provide a full, accurate quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would recommend that you ask the provider where the produce that they are selling is sourced from to understand the quality of food that they will be serving to your guests. I would also establish how the mobile caterer intends to serve the food to your guests to ensure that the end product looks as good as it tastes and 'wows' your guests. Ultimately you want your guests to receive fist class catering at your event to enhance the occasion and ensure that everyone goes home happy!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Yes Chef Events was a distant dream that we planned and talked about from dusk until dawn. The team were all working in the hospitality industry but we dreamed of owning our own mobile catering trailer to provide high end menus whilst travelling the UK. We are passionate, work hard, and plan hard - so our dream became our reality! We love what we do and this is evident in the high quality food that we produce for all our customers. We have also seen many new locations in the UK which has been awesome too!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have events pending but have not yet catered at an Add to Event one yet, though we are very excited for the ones we have booked!!
