We’re Al and Ruth Livingstone, a husband-and-wife team based in Nottingham, who bring together creativity, care, and years of experience behind the lens.
Together, we offer the best of both worlds: a calm, easygoing presence and a polished professional finish. We believe the best photos happen when people feel relaxed and genuinely themselves. Our Story
I'm Al, and I've spent over twenty years working as a Director of Photography in television, documentaries, and photo shoots. When a friend of mine entrusted me with capturing his ceremony on camera, I found all the experience from my work made task flow naturally, and so for the past year I've been using my cinematic eye and instinct for once-in-a-lifetime moments to the world of weddings.
My lovely wife Ruth comes along with me to look after every couple from the first message to the final gallery, making sure everything feels effortless and personal. She handles the planning, meetings, and logistics so you can enjoy the day to the fullest.

Our Team
As a team we are easy-going and professional, communicative and caring. We understand and adore how every couple makes their wedding unique, and we want to give you the best memories to look back on.
AL: I love a good laugh and meeting new people, and this makes it easy for my clients to warm up to the camera and have fun with the process without feeling self-conscious.
RUTH: I am all about spreadsheets, emails, and schedules! I remember very well how intense it can be to plan your wedding, and if there's a way I can make the day easier for a couple, I will happily do just that.

Typical Clients
We provide photography and videography services for couples who want to feel at-ease to enjoy their wedding without rigid poses getting in the way. We are based in Nottingham and travel all around the Midlands for small and medium sized weddings.

Uncomplicated, competend & friendly
We were looking for a photographer from Germany for my parents-in-law's wedding. Al quickly got in toch with us and was also available via WhatsApp. He was very friendly, felxible and overall it was wonderful to have found him. The photots turned out beautifully. Thank you!
