Public Liability insurance - it’s so important that the company you are hiring is covered by insurance
Animal Welfare Activity Licence - it is illegal for a company that works with animals to not hold this licence
Animal Transportation Licence - it’s important to know your company has put in all the correct measures to take care of their animals and their welfare whilst in transit
Risk Assessments - a company that has a written risk assessment shows care and responsibility for your event and has made sure all risks have been assessed so they can be avoided
DBS Checked - DBS certificates will show any concerning criminal records
Covid prevention certificate - this shows the company care and has dedicated time and care into making sure they are covid compliant to make sure you remain covid safe at your event.

Living Things started off homing and rescuing unwanted pets
We were approached by a teacher one day to visit their school with our animals and provide an educational talk...it was amazing to talk about how amazing our animals truly are!
Giving children a chance to learn whilst having fun with a hands-on experience with wildlife!
From there we were approached by parents of the schools we visited for us to provide our wildlife experiences for their children’s birthday parties
Living Things has now been providing educational wildlife experiences for over 10 years!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

One of our favourite bookings was when some of the covid restrictions were lifted
After a long hard year, we provided an experience outside for a single household
It was truly special the family enjoyed meeting and learning about our meerkats, sugar gliders lizards and more.
The family was so amazed by our experience and we had the most incredible feedback.
