What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer I need to know the event date, the location of the event, a brief description of the type of event, the estimated number of guests and if it is indoors or outdoors.
This will then allow me to put together a quote for the event.
I also ask that you send me a detailed list of the type of music you require as this is the most important part for me.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, I would ask the provider if they can deliver the exact music style that you require for your event.
I would also ask to see references, any DJ worth booking should have at least half a dozen references.
Thirdly I would ask what equipment they have and lighting etc, so you can make sure it suits your plan.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started DJing in 1988 so I have a vast knowledge of music and have worked hard over the last 30 years to build my reputation as a DJ.

I have been selected to play at various locations around the world including Ibiza, Italy, Miami, Amsterdam, and New Zealand, as well as numerous venues around the UK.

DJing is the best job in the world, we get to bring joy to so many people at once and nothing makes me happier than seeing people dancing and smiling, and having a good time.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have been booked on numerous occasions now through Add to Event, its a great service.

I hadn't heard of the service before but I am happy to promote the platform to other fellow DJs who I think will find it really useful.
