Midlands Protection Services offers a wide range of security solutions to meet the needs of all the clients both old and new in the Midlands and nationally. They understand that not everyone needs the same security arrangements and so all of their services can be tailored to meet your specific requirements.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote for a client, we will need the event date, the type of event they are hosting, the number of people attending and if there will be alcohol served. It would also be helpful to include if you have any specific requirements such as bag checks and guest searches etc. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to provide a professional security proposal.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
We would firstly ask the supplier about their experience within the industry, including previous work they have undertaken. Secondly, I would ensure all their staff are SIA licensed and they are insured with appropriate cover for the services they supply. I would then make sure they will provide an accurate quotation for the task, which includes everything such as radios, earpieces and other security equipment which will be needed for the task. This will ensure the quotation is accurate and will not be increased.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Midlands Protection Services was established in 2019 by a passionate team of security professionals. We aim to provide professional and fully SIA licensed staff at a reasonable rate to all of our clients. We established Midlands Protection Services as we have a strong passion for security and we felt we can improve standards within our industry.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have just completed a large open-air concert, in which we provided response teams, backstage security and static officers. This event ran smoothly and passed without any incidents or ejections from the site. Following this, we have already secured the contract for the following year and we are looking forward to providing our professional services once again. Without Add to Event, we would not have secured this contract and we have been recommending them to other event suppliers across the industry.
