What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to be able to best assist any potential clients first I need to know 3 basic things - the date of the event, number of guests expected and venue. A brief description of what the client might be expecting very much helps me to tailor my service to fulfil their needs.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Most importantly is to make sure you do your research. Make sure you know if your venue will have space for (or even allow) the roaster set up. As a caterer it's easier for me to offer the best service when the client knows exactly what they want for their event.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

After 20+ years as a chef in the industry, the last 6 being customer facing involved in pub garden BBQ/Hog roasts, I decided it was time to break out on my own. I take pride in offering a very personal service to the events and parties I cater and I really enjoy seeing the faces of the happy customers.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I am brand new to Add to Event, only 1 month, and in that month I have confirmed several bookings for weddings in 2018 and I am in the process of organising a good few events for the autumn months. Using this platform has really helped me develop my quoting skills and has increased my bookings enormously. I look forward to the bookings I have gained so far and hope to make many more happy customers.
