What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we need the event date, number of guests, a brief explanation of the type of event. What utilities are provided ie is electricity available. Is the venue easily accessible for vehicles. If possible the venue and finally will it be an indoor or out door event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask the provider about the product they are offering, you want ice cream from someone who knows about the ice cream they are serving. Ask the provider about their menu and choices of product and why they are serving what they are serving. Check hygiene and insurance details too.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Hyacinth ice cream came about after a family wedding. We decided to purchase and restore a vintage ice cream van and supply delicious quality ice cream along with a great service. It has always been my dream to run my own business and provide customers with great service and enhancing their special day.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have benefited greatly from using Add to Event, it has helped us reach a bigger audience than we could ever have imagined. It has also provided us with a professional platform for presenting our business and given us the structure we required to communicate with our customers. We have had some amazing weddings and received fantastic feedback, which helps us maintain our great customer service. Ever since I have been a member of Add to Event which has to be 3+ years I have always recommended Add to Event to both my friends and people I meet at trade shows and festivals.
