What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue - whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hiring a magician is about hiring someone who is going to be chatting to your guests first hand. Make sure they suit the event you are working for. A cheap magician isn't a great magician and a great magician is never cheap. Magic takes a great amount of skill and practice, not to mention personality. The magician you pick needs to be someone who more than anything must be likeable.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Magic always has been and always will be my hobby. I love magic and performing; originally a close up magician, and then adding children's magic shows when I had my own children. I have come second in UK children's entertainer of the year 2017, and support my family with my magic. My magic is original and written and performed by myself, which means you will NEVER find a unique magician like Frostie.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

My favourite gig I have had from Add to Event was a variety cabaret in West London. I headlined the event and performed a 45 minute act and was joined by a singer, burlesque dancer, tap dancing squad and Comedian. It was a really fun gig and I really enjoyed it. I recommend Add to Event to other entertainers in the industry.
