What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, the location, a rough idea of the time of day needed, whether or not you're specifically looking for a children's entertainer, and how many guests you're having at the event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you look at the reviews the magician has had from previous bookings to ensure you'll be in safe hands. If you're unsure on some of the details i.e. what time would be best for the booking, don't be afraid to ask for advice. The magician will be able to share their previous experience with you, and let you know some of the things that regularly work well.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I've been practising magic as a hobby since I was a kid, and was asked to do a few weddings for friends. I was gobsmacked as to how well the magic went down, and how much of an impact it had on each event. Word of mouth slowly spread until I became a regular wedding entertainer.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I've had several bookings through Add to Event, and the process is so smooth and slick. The majority of the bookings have been weddings, although I have also had bookings for a school leavers party, a number of birthday and anniversary parties, and even a hen party.
