Here they share their story plus a range of top tips on what to look for when booking a mobile bar for your event.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

The challenge faced when trying to identify what is needed for a comprehensive quote is the fact, until you have a conversation with the supplier, you can’t leverage their expertise or experience. Providing such information as estimate number of guests, potential venue, whether it an indoor bar you are looking for or something which can be located outdoors like a funky van, percentage of non-drinks (e.g. drivers), no of children, an outline of the event (e.g. marquee wedding, open field, corporate event focused on …, birthday party, ..) will help together with any other information. Once you have provided this, talk to the suppliers and listen to what they have to say, build a rapport with them as they will form one of the teams ensuring a successful day/event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Speak to the suppliers who have the most interesting proposition/looking bar (price/min. spend can be negotiated). Build a rapport up with the supplier and be open to ideas, these people have done it before – leverage their expertise! If there is a drinks menu with prices, ask for it. Ask if the menu is fixed or whether you can add/remove items. How about a signature drink or cocktail – is this something they can do for you? Consider the type of glassware they use; don’t be put off by festival-type plastic glassware as it is great for outdoor events because it doesn’t shatter like glass when dropped.

So who are we? We are a family run business based out of Yorkshire specialising in adding a wow factor to any event with our fleet of converted vehicles. We pride ourselves on offering a unique twist to mobile bars by offering you an eclectic choice of vehicles to create a centrepiece for your event.

Our VW T2 Camper Bar is this year enjoying its 50th birthday, whilst its little counterpart, the little Italian Piaggio APE tuk-tuk mobile Prosecco and Gin bar is ready to serve a range of drinks to your guests.

How did it all this start? Whilst driving back from our holiday we decided it was time to apply our ourselves to making people smile and creating happiness. Our love for creating events and entertainment places for our family, friends and work colleagues meant we were ideally placed to deliver a hospitality service that focuses on its customers by providing a premium customer service and exceptional value.

We provide everything from a fully stock bar including draught beers and ciders to cocktail bar or Prosecco and Gin Bar. Our bars/vehicles can be dressed to represent your theme.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have secured lots of bookings via the platform and it’s so difficult to pick my favourite as each booking is unique and the feedback we get has been fantastic. Add to Event has provided us with a great platform to advertise what we do and manage our bookings. The interaction we’ve had with the Add to Event team has been minimal which is just what we want but when we have reached out to them, they have been amazing – helpful, willing to listen and they take on board feedback about how they can improve their platform.
