What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote we need a rough idea of date, guest numbers, food preferences, whether its an indoor or outdoor event. This information will help us put together the most flexible, affordable catering package with all eventualities covered and considered.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Trust your gut and go from the initial feeling you have about a supplier from the tone of voice and language they use. The feeling you get from an email or a phone call with a supplier should give you an indication if they are the right supplier for you. The supplier should be approachable, friendly and quick to communicate and make you feel like your event is the only event they are catering. Every client should be made to feel like they are the top priority, whether its a Wedding, Birthday or Corporate event, each one is equally important.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

After working in the industry for many years my husband & I decided to take the plunge and launch Suburban Eats, its been a long time coming and something we are very passionate about. We have the best of both worlds, Rob is a Chef and has worked for some of the North West's leading establishments and I am a Marketing Professional with a keen eye for design and experience of fast-paced photoshoots meaning we are both used to high pressured environments! Above all else, we wanted to provide an all-round service that encompasses exceptional food, seamless service and an efficient pre-service that makes the whole process stress free for the client

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Every booking we've had through Add to Event has been amazing! The system is easy and simple for both parties. Our most recent event was one to remember, it was for a simple birthday and genuinely had the most amazing, warm, friendly clients. The clients were extremely happy with our service from initial communications through to the end and of course our food! So much so they invited us to stay and enjoy the party with them!
