What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to provide a quote for your event, we would require the following information. The address of the event, how many people are attending the event, whether there is electricity and water readily available on-site, the time the event starts and finishes, any dietary requirements. We have an extensive menu which can be altered to the customers budget and needs. Let us create a bespoke menu for your event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

As a customer, I would do my due diligence and research the vendor to ensure they are reputable and have experience of private events. I would also request all relevant documentation from the vendor ie. Public liability insurance. Make contact with the vendor initially and discuss your requirements in detail.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We've been in the food industry for over 20 years, having owned a retail premises specialising in Vegetarian Indian Sweets and food. This was a successful family business which we sold eventually due to our parents retiring. Our Vegan range of food was becoming increasingly popular, with this in mind and our love for food we decided to launch Bhangra Bites. We loved working with food but didn't want the demand of owning a retail premises. A mobile business was the next best thing.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We were called by a customer through Add to Event who had been let down last minute by a food vendor due to the bad weather conditions. We advised him we could cater for the event, although it was very last minute. After looking at our menu and a little persuasion, he decided to book with us. He hesitated to book due to his last vendor able to provide meat options which we don't provide. We attended the event and set up on time and prepared our food on site. We came away from this event with great feedback from the customer saying they couldn't believe how great Vegan could taste. We provided Samosas, Bhajis and a Chick Pea Curry which went down like a treat.
